Holy Interruptions

The girls still slept upstairs while I sat at the dining table, relishing a few minutes to read, think, and pray. I scrawled 2 Corinthians 4:10 in my journal, a significant verse for me in that season with a newborn: “We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be displayed in our body.”

The very giving over of ourselves can bring more life, but it requires God’s gracious help to remain soft toward the many needs with a strong vision of our end goal.

I reflected on this recently for Journeywomen, a group of women committed to helping others know and love God, hope in the Gospel, and participate in their churches in meaningful ways. You can read the post, “Holy Interruptions: A Call to Love,” right here.

May we be open to the interruptions while keeping the end in view.
